Those truth commercials(anti-tobacco) have been driving me up the walls. I am about to the point where I am thinking: if the cigarette companies cant advertise on the T.V. then neither can the truth people. I mean its gotten to the nener nener nener level... ha! ha! we can diss you on T.V. and you're losing business. Not that I smoke, or even like the nasty habit. True its unethical that theyre selling cigarettes because they kill, but between the millions of ads, school health classes, and the surgeon generals warning WE ALL FUCKING KNOW IT KILLS ALREADY. Its legal isnt it. Dont be satanists and take away peoples right to choose to ruin their own lives.
Something else I dont get about these gay ass commercials one of them states "A tobacco representative testified he doesn't believe that smoking is addictive, and this internal document states they knew it was it was from four years earlier, he must not have gotten the memo." Well jesus lady, if its admitting guilt I somehow doubt it was passed around. Its not like they put it in the mailbox of every Tom, Dick and Harry. I doubt it saw the eyes of more than a few. So get off your high horse. And also if the tobacco company was marketing to homeless people( the commercial referring to project Sub Culture Urban Marketing S.C.U.M) wouldn't it be stupid, I mean doing that would only make people who don't have money want to smoke, encouraging theft of cigarettes resulting in higher losses, and it would also defer people with money from buying their product because they do not want to be associated with that type. So get a grip, the tobacco company is not the devil. Just a bunch of power hungry greedy assholes. So get over it and shut up.
