This whole renaming of anything with 'French' in it is entirely too reminiscent of the propaganda of WWI and WWII- Dachshunds became 'Liberty Pups,' bratwurst became 'Liberty Sausage,' and so on and so forth. The difference? THE U.S IS NOT AT WAR WITH FRANCE. This is a petty, stupid act, and it looks very childish on the international stage. Oh, we better ship off the Statue of Liberty too- French influence is so bad!
I know this is short- shortest rant I have done to date- but really, what else can I add? This whole outlandish plot is silly, it's stupid, it's disrespectful, it disregards history, it just sounds goofy... nothing more need be said. If this really does end up being voted on, I hope it goes down in a flaming mass of idiocy. If more inspiration strikes in the future, I can either add to this, or write freedom fries- take 2.
