gadget for quake III>

<font size=

Hello, I'm Nathan, thanks for visiting my site.

This is a model/skin of Gadget Hackwrench of Disney's Chip'n'Dale Rescue Rangers for Id Software's Quake 3 Area. This site was written in notepad in a matter of minutes, so its very simple and to the point, if not real pretty-like. So, here are some pictures and some basic information, for the technically minded (and those wondering how to install a custom model for Q3), there is more detailed info in the readme, which is in the zip, which you can download by saving this Link.

Trust me though, it couldn't be simplier to get Gadget running around the arenas in your game if she installed herself.

This fantastic Gadget model was made by community member "DonDon the Panda Man" a few years ago, he got carried away in other projects, and left the Gad/Q3 project in my hands. He did all the hard work (Modeling, meshing, compiling, ripping sounds from CNDRR eps, getting Gadget to work with the Id biped animations, and all the initial skinning).

All I did was bash my head against the keyboard until I got a bot script that finally worked, and managed to get Gadget to play on the Blue and Red teams for CTF and TDM. I also edited Dan's original skin a few times, I'm sure it looked good in his third party modeling software, but the game's rendering engine really cranks up the contrast, and his skin was pretty bold to begin with. So I smoothed and subtled it out a bit, and then made teamskin versions.

Character Gadget Hackwrench of Disney's Chip'n'Dale: Rescue Rangers is used without permission but with respect and is trademark or property or something nefarious of Disney

Here are 3 promotional images so you can see the model in action. If you don't have Quake 3, you should get it. It'll run on just about any computer, and is fantastic fun. Because this is Geocities, please allow a moment or two for these pics to load, they are on the biggish-side.

Never, ever, say 'no' to a mouse with a rocket launcher or a quad damage
yes, this model works with Quake 3's team based player modes

In case you missed the link at the top:

Here are some handy-dandy links:

The RR Database: Winston's RRDB also hosts the file (under Miscellaneous) which will be handy when Geocities kills this site through act or negligence, whichever comes first. Also of note, you can see my art hosted here.

The Acorn Cafe: You might have just come from here. The place for RR-themed discussion and camaraderie.

Polycount: A custom model mega-site. Polycount contributed a great deal to both Don's and my own efforts on the GadQ3 project. If you want to learn more about how to adjust things yourself, or if the provided ReadMe doesn't help you install the model enough, this is the place to look.

Email Me: Something you want to ask? I'm always glad to help. You may have better luck contacting me on The Acorn Cafe though.

gadget, mouse, hackwrench, quake, model, game, chip, dale, rescue rangers, CNDRR, CDRR, Q3, Q3A, player model, custom skins, skin, furry, I love Gadget Hackwrench, I love violent videogames, what could be wrong with any of that? This is just hidden, super duper secret text at the end to help this page get legitimately indexed by search engines. I hope that this site gets a google indexing, because I want to spread this model. I made this for myself, and for everyone like me, and so I want to do what I can to make sure everyone who would want a Gadget Quake model, and might not yet realize it, can at some point get it. I should think of something better though eh. If you're reading this, thanks for paying such close attention to my webpage, its flattering. Bush is a moron.
