Catz II Litterz

Fun Petz II Fact: If you own only Catz II, you can still play with downloaded dogz breedz by renaming the file extensions from ".dog" to ".cat" It works the same for Dogz II!

Yep, I have Catz II. It was my first Petz game. The neat thing about Petz II is that the files are made differently, so you can make a different kind of litter. I have made some available for download here. The requirements: To download: Click on the picture (zip files each contain four--one file per row) and save to your desktop or other easy-to-find location. Unzip files into your Adopted Petz folder. (Location is probably like C:\Program Files\PF.Magic\Petz II\Adopted Petz ) You don't need any special files, just the breedz that came with the game. Enjoy your Petz! Delete the ones you don't want. Don't spill paint on them or restore original colors!

Want to make your own Petz II litterz? They require the paint brush/can in the game and knowledge of moving and renaming files. No hexing is required! (I believe this also works for dogz...) Here's how:
  1. Adopt a few catz from the Adoption Center of the breed you want the body of, for example Persians.
  2. Close the program.
  3. By clicking though folders on your computer, find and open the Petz II folder with breedz, probably C:\Program Files\PF.Magic\Petz II\Resource\Catz
  4. Move the breed you're using (Persian.cat and PersianX.cat in this case) to another location. (I usually move to the desktop.)
  5. Rename the files for the breed you want to use for coloring to make them the name of the breed you adopted. (Example: Rename Calico.cat to Persian.cat and CalicoX.cat to PersianX.cat)
  6. Open Petz II.
  7. Take out your cats and paint them each however you want them (or chose "Restore Original Colors" to make them look just like the cats from the adoption center).
  8. Close the program.
  9. Change the breed files' names back to what they were. (Persian.cat and PersianX.cat go back to Calico.cat and CalicoX.cat)
  10. Put back the breed files you removed earlier. (If you lose any breed files, reinstall your game.)
  11. Start the game and enjoy your creation! (If you get paint on them or restore original colors, you'll have to do the renaming files and painting steps again.)
