Fàilte | Gaelforce 5 | Welcome |
Gaelforce
5 is a not- for- profit personal website dedicated to the promotion of the
Scottish Gaelic Language and to encourage all people of Scottish roots
to reflect that Gaelic was at one time the official language of
Scotland. Whether you come from the Highlands, Islands or Lowlands a few
moments spent looking at the place names on a map of Scotland will make
it clear that hundreds of names are of Gaelic origin or still in their
original Gaelic form. Gaelforce 5 supports all Gaelic Language
initiatives wherever they may be implemented.
Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island in particular has a special place in my heart and I have spent many years involved with programs offered by Gaelic College in St. Ann's CBI. The College is the heart of Gaelic Nova Scotia and I view the faculty at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in Skye as the heroes of the Gaelic Revival In Scotland. G-5 provides information on Gaelic Resources in Canada, Scotland and in the United States. This site is the personal property of Frank Wilson |
