PIPING AT FUNERALS
Commonly, the pipes are played as the casket is brought down to the front of the church.  "Amazing Grace"  is often requested at this point.

Occasionally, the pipes are played during Communion.

The pipes are then played as the casket is brought out.  "Going Home" is very appropriate, and is often requested for this moment.

The piper then plays outside as the congregation exits.

If requested,  the pipes are also played at the cemetary.  Typically, the piper will position himself a short distance away from the graveside service, and play until the prayers are begun.
These are suggestions only.  The event should be structured as you see fit.
