While Mr. Rader has a hostile, slightly crazed persona toward me, Barbara Lewis doesn’t seem to have had a precisely unfriendly intent--at least not as far as I can tell.
But she’s working at the IU Medical Center. From my perspective, she seems to be someone who isn’t acting in an entirely responsible manner. That’s because I think she has some knowledge and experience of how her former colleagues have harassed members of the viewing public. Those who are being harassed in that way aren’t hearing voices internally. Indiana University Psychiatric Associates is in charge of mental health services for Marion County. They could benefit from Barbara’s experience. If she wants to discuss the matter with me, she is welcome to phone or e-mail. She didn’t respond to the e-mail of last summer. Returning to the worst offenders, who are at Channel 13, what they’re doing is apparently to their advantage for business reasons. And they’re confident about their ability to get away with what they are doing. Indeed, their attitude might even be described as “cocky.” Recently, while trying to sleep, I was informed by a disembodied voice in the middle of the night that my apartment has become “Camp Mattis.” That name is in honor of Mr. M. Mattis who is “Director of Security” at Channel 13. His proper title really should be “Director of Illegal Covert Offensive Operations.” My friends at Channel 13 seem to expect me to think it’s funny that my apartment is to be called “Camp Mattis,” And I’m having trouble explaining to them that I don’t think it’s funny. If Mr. Rader and his associates at Channel 13 go absolutely scot-free and unpunished, my impression is that innocent people in our city are going to be hurt: it’s not everyone who has had the opportunity to read Mr. Waugh’s novel. My friends at Channel 13 lack humanity and conscience. They also lack common sense--if they expect everyone to accede to illegal acts such as voyeurism and intimidation. And if they expect that an arrogant, swaggering attitude will help make their illegalities more acceptable to those being victimized, then they don’t know human nature. CONTINUE |
