Hello and thanks for visiting my site.

My name is Daniel.  I am a Business and ESL Instructor and also work as a Corporate Trainer, College Professor and IT Consultant.

I am a native English speaker who grew up in Montreal, where I studied both in French and English throughout elementary school, high school and part of university.

After graduation, I worked at a software company in Montreal for two years as a Technical Writer and in PC technical support.

In 1991, I went to Yokohama, Japan to teach Business English and cross-cultural communication skills to employees and managers of major Japanese companies.  Later, I worked as a SAT, TOEIC, TOEFL, GMAT and GRE Instructor in the Study Abroad program of the Yokohama YMCA.  I also taught courses in Computer Science at a local American college in Yokohama.

Still in Japan, I decided to get back into the IT field and soon began to give software training to both foreign and Japanese employees of embassies, banks, securities companies and manufacturing companies in Tokyo.  This led to longer-term projects at many of these same clients in Project Management of client-server software applications, Business Analysis and Packaged Software Implementation.

In 1999, just before the Y2K scare, I returned to Canada and soon thereafter began to work in Toronto.  There, I taught ESL to Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Mexican students.  I also began teaching IT courses in Programming, Networking and Database technologies to international students studying at community college and to adult evening students studying at university.

I also started my own IT consulting company which supports small businesses' training, network and website support needs.

I have many interests, including, technology & Internet, international relations, cycling, skiing, photography and writing.
