Welcome to the inaugeral issue of Ransack: The ezine for a Scrambling of Eggheads. Each issue features quizzes and contests to help stimulate in our readers curiousity and the 'desire to know.' Mrs. Gale and Mrs. Peel were polymaths, so should you be!

Ransack is based out of St. Paul, Minnesota, but we accept members frm all over the world. The more international members the better.

Ransack holds four contests a year - each contest consists of 13 weeks of quizzes. Email your answers to Ransack. We will keep track of all scores and the top three finishers at the end of each 13th week will receive a prize. It costs nothing to participate in these contests!

Players: Choose your code name when you send us your first entry. We'll publish players' codenames and scores in each subsequent issue of Ransack, so you can keep track of your progress and the progress of both friendly and enemy agents.

Contest #1: Win:

1. The Quotable Episodes Quiz

Name each episode (from the Emma Peel era). You receive an extra point if you identify who is being quoted, and another point for the name of the character to whom the quote is addressed. Answer as many as you can - it is not neccesary to answer them all. Email your answers to Ransack. The deadline for answers to this Quiz (and each subsequent quiz) is two weeks - so, answers must be received by Otober 8, 2003.
