"And it has been foretold that the Dark One Seveladus shall rise again and bring forth chaos and destruction. The ancient Guardians will fall and the holy place Galendor will be his. However, a savior shall arise from the shadows and in him the fate of the world shall rest. Last of a long line of warriors, his heritage forgotten, the Dragonslayer shall save the world from darkness. So is the Doom of Anithralad..."

Dark times have fallen upon the world of Valemar. The words of the Keeper Anithralad, last Guardian of the Gate, weigh heavy upon the minds of many of the wise for evil is once again rising. Ever they search for help to stem the tide of darkness and they fear that the time of Seveladus's return is nigh. For if the Dark One is to find the Arannon, the Gateway to Galendor, then the holy place will be his, and none will be able to oppose him. Such is the time that a lone mercenary wanders inot the great city of Thaledon...
Characters
Galan
Mysterious mercenary and lone wanderer, Galan is the main character. He is unwittingly thrown into the battle against Seveladus.
Kedewyn
Valiant and renowned soldier of Thaledon, Kedewyn is always at the front of any battle with the Darkness.
The Dragonslayer
Anithralad
One of the ancient Keepers of Valemar, Anithralad is the last of the guardians of the Gate. The other guardian, Githrariand, perished at Seveladus's hand many years before.
Elara
A lesser Keeper sent to Valemar to bring news from the Other Side. She possesses magic greater than that of any mortal.
Etheria
Warrior-Maiden of the South. Long have her people been in exile after the first war with Seveladus.
Glasil
Grumpy, ill-tempered yet ferocious in battle, Glasil the Dwarf needs no excuse to look for a fight.
Isawyn
Fair elf Isawyn has been sent from the secret dwellings of the elves to gather news of a man named Darik.
Mirisien
Known as The Fair among men, the beautiful Mirisien is constantly underestimated by her opponents in battle.
