Welcome to
What is Reiki?
It is healing with energy. Reiki describes both energy and a non-invasive
healing technique used to maintain health by channeling this energy.
Reiki practise originated, according to tradition, around 3000 BC in what
is now known as Tibet. Until the mid-1880's Reiki was part of mankind's
hidden history, surviving primarily by oral teaching in various monastic
orders. The essentials of the system, however, were encoded in Tibetan
Sutras. Sometime between 1870 and 1880, a Japanese theologian, Dr.
Mikao Usui, began searching through ancient texts to find formulas to activate
and harness a universal life force. With the encouragement of Buddhist
monks, Usui went into seclusion for 21 days, hoping to have an experience
that would unite his knowledge with the essence of energy he had sought
for so long. On the 21st day he achieved this in a mystical fusion
of enlightenment and attunement.
Reiki uses five primary working premises or assumptions -
1. An energy of many unique properties, some of which are applicable to
both medical and psychological conditions.
2. An energy source.
3. A source which can be contacted and tapped.
4. A person who can be easily taught to utilize
this energy.
5. The effects of applying this energy are
palpable, although subjective.
One major difference between Reiki and many other healings is that Reiki
energy comes "through",
"not from", the practitioner.

Treatments
Why not experience a Reiki Treatment through Reiki Master and allow yourself
to - RELAX - RELEASE - REJUVENATE - REJOICE!
An average Reiki Treatment lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
The practitioner places their hands very gently on the client and will
move through each position i.e. knees, ankles, elbows, etc., spending approximately
5 minutes on each. For special needs, the positions and time may
vary. The client remains fully clothed at all times (loose fitting
attire is recommended i.e. track suit), although the removal of glasses,
shoes, and any item of clothing which might be tight such as a belt, watch
or other metallic jewelry is encouraged. There is no pressure on
the body, nor is there any manipulation or massage. The treatment
is conducted on a standard massage table (whenever possible) and a minimum
of talking and conversation is conducted until the practitioner has completed
the session feeling as refreshed and rejuvenated as the client. Treatments
are recommended for re-energizing the body due to stress or to aid various
ailments such as migraines, arthritis, cancer, etc.
Treatement Time - Monday to Friday between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Treatment and Learning
In order to integrate Reiki into one's life, Dr. Mikao Usui recommends
the following five basic principles:
Just for today, I will not worry,
Just for today, I will not be angry,
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings,
Just for today, I will do my work honestly,
Just for today, I will be kind to every living
thing.
