ENIS' WEYRA woman of 22 turns looked up from her anatomy book with some concern as you entered. "What's the matter? The infirmary might have been a better place to go," she mentioned scanning your person with critical grey eyes. She looked at you in question, seeing there was nothing visibly wrong with you. You chuckled a little, ans explained there was nothing wrong with you, that you were just a visitor. She smiled. "Well then, just come in and have a seat! Help yourself to a cup of tea on the fire over yonder, while I put this book away," she bustled over to a shelf and you moved to get a warm cup of tea. "My name's Enis, by the way," she called out to you, then a quick, "NO! Not that one, the other pot!" She waggled a finger at you as she advanced to the hearth to get herself some tea too. "That'un's some medicinal tea. You don't want to drink that unless you are ill," it was her turn to chuckle. The tea you both drank was mint tea, you supposed, and it refreshed your mouth. "Well now," Enis took a long sip on the tea and smacked her lips, "I'm a journeywoman healer - just walked the tables not too long ago. I'm from Fort Hold, so Healer Hall wasn't so far for me to travel. I've never been to far from Fort. I studied at Healer Hall and wanted to travel about on different assignments before settling on one. But word came that Gallimim Weyr was looking for a Healer to assist L'nat the WeyrHealer here. He's got a dragon and the duties of the whole weyr!" she exclaimed, them drank a little more tea. "Well, L'nat wanted to hand pick the person, and he happened to let two of the young searchriders tag along, after some coersion from Lead Searchrider Imogen-ali. Good practice for them she says," Enis chuckled. "Well it turns out the young riders searched me, and convinced ole' L'nat to take me on," she shrugged. "So I guess I got a little more than I bargained for. I'm stuck in one place, but on the other hand, only till I impress and the little draggie grows! If I impress of course," she winked. "L'nat's going to have to get more help than just me!" she exclaimed. After taking the last sip of your tea, you ask her where was she a candidate at? "Oh!" she exclaimed cheerfully, "I am a candidate at Aden Weyr," and she winked at you. "Now, be off and visit someone else, I've got to make up a batch of numbweed!" and with that, Enis shooed you from her weyr. The little green dragon sniffed the big pot near the hearth. "Oh you don't need any of that!" Enis chided her special Mioth. "Hopefully you won't ever!" she added as she stirred the large pot of numbweed. You will take care of me. the dragonet responded. "I'll do my best, but I am a people-healer, not a dragon healer, love, but my the first egg, if something happens to you, I'll be looming over that DragonHealer's head all the day long," Enis comforted. Mioth butted her legs gently, and Enis reached down to scratch an itch that had developed over her eye. "I almost don't want you to fly, its safer!" But no fun! Mioth responded. "True, true, but you'll still have me worried," Enis stuck her finger experimentally and quickly withdrew it. "Still to hot," she mumbled. Mioth curled up near the big warm pot and fell quickly asleep. Enis mumbled mostly to herself about the next item on her to do list: Purifying some oils. ![]() The Background was created by Genegnome in PSP and may not be removed from this page.
