 Introduction

The following activities are designed for IEP students at Georgia State University in Structure and Composition classes, at level 4. These activities are based on the specific grammar and vocabulary problems that those students have while trying to be better writers. The activities give the students opportunities to practice on those problems, with the intention of overcoming them before they enter mainstream college. Students needs and characteristics have been taken into account, and so, students will find a variety of activity types (matching activities, fill-in-the-blank, crossword puzzle, and multiple choice). To match their specific learning styles, students are free to practice on the types of activity they feel more comfortable with; yet, I will strongly recommend that they try the other types from which they may also get important feedback concerning specific grammar and vocabulary features.
Remember, this is not a test; so, you can try the activities as much as you want till you get the right answers. It is by practicing that you can acquire or improve your language competence. "Practice makes perfect."
