Bluff | Al's:
My chinese new years resolution is to keep writing my blog which provides a friend of mine, endless hours of entertainment.
First up was to visit my old wed. gaming group. First up was Bluff which apparently it hadn't been played since I left.
It was like ride the old horse, everything came back naturally. Chris made some silly bid and popped quickly.
I was able to grind away Steve and Al. The second game almost proved to be the oppisite of the first game.
I made some silly bets and popped early. Chris won it. Maybe it is luck.

Acquire | Al's:
Well I can't go to game night and not bring a game so I borrowed Acquire from Vitas collection.
I selected Acquired cause I figured the group would enjoy it.
Went over the rules for the gang which had to be restarted since Dave had arrived just a bit late.
The only thing that annoys me about this game is how the game can be totally skewed by bad draws.
During the whole game was I wasn't able to start a corporation but enough of the whining.
Initially I tried to get my fingers in every pot hoping one of the merger sales would give me a good return.
Al and I where able to get rich from the early mergers and snaged shares in the eventual big corporation.
1000 bucks different and I blame it on the lack of starting a corporation!!!

Carcassonne Builder and Traders | Al's:
Al and Chris have been trying to get Dimitri to play Everquest so they took him down stairs for a demo.
The rest of us played Carcassonne with the Builder and Traders expansion.
This was a pretty close game. I went for building cities and helping others finish their cities so I could snag the commodities.
Farming was pretty much a wash since nobody really tried to dominated the fields.
I was about to give the game to Maria when Dave mention that we still had the commodity scoring.
I had all three which gave me the victory! Thanks Dave!!

Cities and Knights | Ilise's:
Went to visit Ilise and John. Well can't pay them a visit without playing a game.
It was a very close game even though the score doesn't show it.
I was able to accumulate Medicine, Irrigration and Mining progress cards.
After a great set of rolls, I was able to build a settlement, upgraded to a city, used the merchant to trade my extras so I could build the yellow metro.
To seal the deal I build a road into John's and move a knight to steal the longest road.

Acquire | Ilise's:
We spent the first couple of hours, chit chatting until I put my foot down and said "I came here to play games!"
The smooth icebreaker started a game of Acquire while Ilise and the rest of the gang started a 6-player game of Settlers.
Chet had the knack for this game.
He started the chain that would eventually be the big one and was able to select the right should that would produce cash and more stock.
No contest, Chet spanked!!!

King Me! | Ilise:
As a gift for letting me crash at his pad I gave Dimitri a copy of King Me!
Plus it would be useful for the Wed group to have a new game to play, taking out two birds with one game! :)
