In
the ancient times of the Balkian Empire lied the beginning of a war to later be
known as “The War of Magic.” This war had simple ideals set by the Balk and
the Hughe, the two superpowers vying for total domination. The Balk, on one
hand, wanted technology as the wave of the future, sensing that the power of
magic was wrong and, for the most part, against what the technology that
they’ve been building for years. Gaining popularity for the rich and money
hungry nobles who invested in such corporation, the Balk had a minority of the
people but a majority of the monetary income, which in the end does lead to
greater power. On the other side of war was the Hughe, a nation who thrived on
the well being of the power of manna. The Hughe gained support from poor
peasants and meager soldiers who viewed this ill-used power of manna as a source
to gain relief from their suffering. Both sides, however, were being controlled
by a power greater than one can possibly imagine. For the newly founded Balk
empire was run by none other than fate itself, Afini. Afini was the first king
of the Balkian empire, taking disguise as a king in order to gain all-out power
of the planet in hopes to raise his extreme power. Fini, although not King Hughe,
was the manipulator of the war. In true essence, the Balk never did claim that
technology was the way that they wanted to see fit for the future, but rather
stayed quiet and was just thought of as the technologist that they so truly are.
The Bal, led by King Hughe XI, stated claims the Balk have never made, stirring
up the war. This stir would later lead onto one of the greatest known wars ever
in the history of Kintara, one of the longest and saddest wars ever to be
beheld. This war, the War of Magic, would later be seen as a complete waste, but
learning from history is yet to be seen. Even after this long and brutal war, it
was yet to repeat itself in history once again.
Born onto the Balkian Empire was said
to be two children, one of complete good, and the other of pure evil. However,
the story is far from the truth. In reality, one child was born by the name of
Garamond. His very own soul was ripped by his miserable life, and he upon
created two personas, Garamond and Garnada. He would act out of fits of rage as
a person named Garnada. Garamond, a Holy Knight of the Balkian Empire, even
searched for the criminal Garnada in hopes to execute him for his wrongdoing,
not even knowing that he was the culprit. However, on one fateful day, Garamond
Lafayette visited his brother Melduga Lafayette, known for his great powers of
magic. Garamond visited him on no notice, as Melduga was considered a
“heretic” by the Balk for practicing the arts of magic. Little to his
knowledge, did he find out of his other self. Garamond, for no reason beyond his
own control, was transformed into that hideous beast inside him. He then killed
his brother, coming to realize that he himself was the Beast Garnada.
Garamond’s blade, the Mighty Sword Garamond, was resonating. Garamond stabbed
his blade into his heart to end his misery, but to no avail. His blade, having
reached both the evil and good that lies within the soul of mankind, became none
other than the fabled Holy Sword Garamond. Grabbing his blade once again, he was
about to yet again commit the act of death. However, fate itself came upon the
soul of Garamond. Fate declared that he would grant upon the soul of Melduga to
return upon the earth in return for the death of his very own self. Garamond,
not knowing who this entity was, gave upon his soul to this fate. The pure evil
that once lurked inside of Garamond’s soul was removed, and created from it
was two sword, the Holy Sword Garamond and the Evil Sword Garnada. Garamond, now
being owned by Afini, was to be sent to the Time Rift Region to spend his life
in agony. For upon this, the end of the war began. The legend of brother upon
brother was as false as one can ever believe. Garamond, a hero of the War of
Magi, was also the one who was known as the villain. Garamond himself was both
Garamond and Garnada. However, in returning Melduga’s soul, he was transformed
into a supreme power known to be Quantum Zero. No one has record of this Qunatum
Zero, and there truly is no record of how the war ended. Historians long since
made up the facts of history and they were believed to be true. History itself
is lost, but perhaps dwelling upon the past is as false as a pseudo one. Fate
unto fate… man unto man…
