Custom Rogue Moog carry / performance case

Last updated: 2·13·2006
new page, old stuff.

Several years ago, I designed this carry case / "performance platform" for my Rogue Moog analog monosynth and MoogerFooger Ring Modulator stomp box. My stepdad and a friend of his built it for me, making sure that the Rogue and MF-102 fit properly into their compartments. They even stained the wood to match the MF-102's own wooden panels. I got the large gold "Moog" logo sticker from ebay several years ago. The carry handle is from an old suitcase that my parents were about to junk! The AC adaptor, formerly belonging to a water sprinkler system, was also cobbled together by my stepdad... it works fine, but those resistors get warm and sometimes worry me.

I plan on getting at least one more MoogerFooger, which will fit into the other side compartment. Then all the cables and adaptors will have to get a new home in a bag. I'm thinking about getting the MF-105 MuRF (Multiple Resonance Filter array) and the MF-103 12-Stage Phaser. If I had the extra cash, I'd love to get an MF-104z Analog Delay. And then I would need a new carry case for all the MoogerFoogers ;^) I would also like to get an amp for my Rogue. Currently I just hook it up to my computer speakers, which works fine enough for now, but sometimes they quiver when those oscillators growl ;^)

Anyways here are some pics. The smaller ones are older ones. I can't find the original files so they're not very detailed. Hover your mouse pointer over the pics to see a "caption."

Front and handle. Bottom of the case. Opened up and ready to go. Back of the Rogue and MoogerFooger. Plenty of room for the cables. Angle view.

Another pic of the case, opened up. This is what it looks like before I close up the case. Side of the case with the Moog sticker. My 'ghetto' AC adaptor.
