Dragonlance is the series that got me
started on reading fantasy. Back in the winter of
1994 is when I first read this great series and haven't
stopped since. With such enjoyable character like:
Tanis Half-Elven, Sturm Brightblade, Caramon and
Raistlin Majere, Tika Wayland, Flint Fireforge,
Tasslehoff Burrfoot, Kitiara Uth Matar,
"Laurana" Lauralanthalasa, Gilthanas,
Riverwind, Goldmoon and so may more. This world was
created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman any may others
have added to the richness of this world. Lets find
out a little about the authors.
Born in Independence, Missouri, Margaret
Weis graduated from the University of Missouri and
worked as a book editor before teaming up with Tracy
Hickman to develop the Dragonlance novels. Margaret
lives in a renovated barn in Wisconsin with her teen-aged
daughter, Elizabeth Baldwin, and several pets. She
enjoys reading (especially Charles Dickens), opera, and
rollerskating.
Born in Salt Lake City, Tracy
Hickman resides in Wisconsin in a 100-yea-old
Victorian home with his wife and four children.
When he isn't reading or writing, he is eating or
sleeping. On Sundays, he conducts the hymns at the
local Mormon church.
Tracy and Margaret have teamed up to
write more than just Dragonlance. They both teamed
up to write the Darksword Trilogy, Rose of the Prophet
trilogy and the Death Gate Cycle. All are very good
series.
