Tales on Sprites are often few and far between. This is mainly because no one really knows of their culture or ways because Sprites share little of themselves with the world. They inhabit the lands just south of the Barbarian Forest and to the west of Gryphon River. Some even inhabit the northern part of Gryphon River where the western side of the Forest Of Confusion meets the eastern side of Barbarian Forest. And more often than most, Sprites are found in Port City or Mist Island. What is obvious to the people though is that the Sprite's magic with the weather can be powerful, and their super fast speeds make them quite deadly... |

Wild, Untamed, Strange, Intelligent, Misunderstood and Dangerous are all the things that make Sprites. Their hair and eye colors vary from all the colors of nature or weather. Their skin however is either a shimmering ivory or silky tan. The build of thier bodies are light, small, slim, and muscular. But their light frames do not mean they are weak, far far from it... Powers of thier magic simply depends on their upbringing, training and talent. They wield attributes having to do with weather. Rain, sleet, snow, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions... Their powers also reside in mental talents and and their awesome speeds, for they have no wings. All Sprites naturally have a degree of areobatic talents and or martial arts. The leval of that degree also depends on thier upbringing (class) training and talent.
Although all Sprites have weather powers, no one unless in dire emergency or member of the council is allowed to fully change the season or present weather. (Of course many oocasions this rule is borken...;) The council's job is to keep the changing seasons running smoothly and to pick the best moments when a natural phenomenom may happen so that they are able to warn people in the area... Of course like everything else in life, weather cannot be fully controlled. You might be able to cox it into raining, but once you've started it come hell or high water before you get to choose when it stops. Weather can only tolerate so much, for she has a will of her own.

The first class are called the Nobles. The nobles are the richest class of the Sprites and often tend to live in grand mansions dotted about the Sprite countryside many used to live about the Gryphon River... But since the battles between Fairies on the river countless nobles have taken refuge with friends who live about the western coast or in temples and monestaries but others are forced to live as Free. Thier magic is often the most powerful, and they tend to live the longest. Many of the battles are fought by Demas defending thier villages and angry Frees, they are not planned befored hand, simply brashes that get out of control... Many dying the process... Things are heating up quickly between the two mortal nemmises, Sprites and Fairies... The sad Queen and noble Council are becoming worried...while the Advisors are eager to fight... |

The second class of Sprites are called the Free. They tend to live in the borderline of Barbarian Forest or roam the western parts of the Forest of Confusion. Thier magical abilities are equal to that of the Nobles, in fact in some ways more powerful because they are not binded down by the rules of society but their fault is that they also have no say in society nor do they have much status. But these lines of class are rapidly blurring due to the skirmishes between the Faires and Sprites that are becoming more and more frequent every passing day...

The third class of Sprites are the Dema. They live in beatuiful realitivly peacful villages on the luscious hilly plains and medows of Sprite territory, where they also farm and herd animals of which the sell to merchants. Most Demas have earthy like features and more often than most have powers with storms and winds to help the farming process. Most Demas are simple and content, with a tendency to be the most peacful class of Sprites. However the few Demas that are born with a magical gift are restless and wild, much like the Free...Especially now when the breakouts between Fairies and Sprites are so common. Demas are not as peaceful as they once were. |

Queen Deliko. All answer to her, and respect her... Except the Advisors. They feel that she is too young, has too many notions about the people's happiness and foolish ideals of making peace with the Fairies. The Advisors are something like the government of Sprites. They under the council help the Queen rule. Before, she would overpower them with her noble strength and majestic magical talent, but the recent death of her husband, King Marchillis has sent her into depression. The council is becoming worried about her throne, life...and kingdom. Still despite her sadness, her power grows...

Baranel Delore. Head of the Sprite Council. Many are suspicious of this sever character, although it is he who is truely loyal to Deliko, unlike the Advisors. His powers are great, and dominate especially with volcanoes. Like his magical essence, his temper can erupt suddenly without warning. This adds to people's suspicions... Recently he has been overworked trying to find proof against the Advisor's treason and fixing the destruction caused by fights with Fairies. At heart, this Sprite is truely noble. |
