Co-Operative Sertoma Donates $10,000 to Reading Roundup! On Monday, May 19, 2003, at the Pipkin Middle School library, the Co-Operative Sertoma Club presented a $1,500.00 donation to David Harrison for Reading Roundup bringing Co-Op's total support to $10,000.00. Morey Mechlin of the Springfield Public Schools Foundation was also there to present the Gold Level Donor Book to Co-Operative members. Followed by a successful Matching Grant pursuit from the Sertoma Foundation, Co-Operative Sertoma was then able to donate an additional $7,500.00 to support Springfield's three inner city middle schools, Pipkin, Reed and Study, in their quest to replenish and restore their bookshelves. With their donations, Co-Operative has been able to fund approximately 625 books for the three libraries.
