Garfield  Heights  Youth  Theatre News 2006  --  2007
	The Garfield Heights Youth Theatre, in its 24th year, opened its 2006-2007 season on October 7th with twenty-eight students, who reside in Cleveland, Garfield Hts., Independence, Maple Hts., Newburgh Hts., Parma, Sagamore Hills, Shaker Hts., Valley View and Walton Hills.  The school of performing arts offers a twenty-week program of classes on Saturdays to all children in grades 2-8, featuring music, dance and drama and culminates in a musical production in March.  The staff consists of Charles R. Keshock, in his 13th year as Managing Director & Music Instructor, Suzanne Staraitis as Dance Instructor, Natalie Mallis as Drama Instructor, and Joann Keshock as Office Manager.  Volunteer student graduate assistants are Ariel Paynter, Jenny Wendling, Niki Dinardo and Zach Cummins. Announcing the Class of 2006-2007:  (2nd Grade) new students Jacob Bakonyi, Emily Kondash, Talia Potter, Erin Rawlins and Carson Strnisa;  (3rd Grade) April Walter and new students Mia Bethea and Jordan Gadoury;  (4th Grade) BayLee McCarthy, Austin Mitchell and new student, Keely Sajovie;  (5th Grade) Angela Dottore, Alyson Leffler, Nina LiPuma, Rachel Suter, Emma Tepfenhart, and new students Olivia Kwiatkowski, Sydia Negron and Sydney Smalcer;  (6th Grade) Alyssa Tepfenhart;  (7th Grade) Eddie Habat, Aleksa Kaups, Joe Wallace and Autumn Walter;  (8th Grade) Lindsay Criss, Dominic LiPuma, Alex Wells and new student, Kendra Weekley. Students are now in the midst of preparing for their annual Holiday Recital, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 9th at 1:00 P.M. at the Garfield Heights Civic Center, 5407 Turney Road.  Refreshments will be served, and guests are welcome! The following day, Sunday, December 10th at 2:00 P.M., they will be spreading some “holiday cheer” by performing a Christmas show for the residents of Marymount Place in Garfield Heights.  The group is also scheduled to perform at the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Garfield Heights Civic Center at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26th.
