The following is a series of photos of our original flock of chickens from one day old (8/4/99) through 20 weeks old (12/22/99).  They were purchased from Ideal Poultry in Cameron, Texas.  There were three White Leghorns (Ideal 236 strain, white with a few black spots); two Production Reds (reddish-brown); two Barred Plymouth Rocks (black with white barring); and three Buff Orpingtons (golden buff).  We ordered one Buff Orpingtons cockerel, but they all turned out to be pullets.  Due to various deaths, only three of these original chickens are still part of our flock.
