The Cavern...Where it all began

The Cavern Club located on Mathew Street in  Liverpool  featured " beat groups" that changed the course of music for all time. The Beatles played at the Cavern about 300 times between March 1961 through August 1963. An endless stream of famous groups came out of the Cavern, such as Gerry and the Pacemakers,The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Searchers, Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, Cilla Black  and many others. It was the birthplace of the British Invasion. In the early days Cilla Black was in charge of the  cloakroom. Pete Best was the Beatles drummer , later being replaced by Ringo Starr, who had been playing with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. The club is full of history. You can now take a trip back in time and relive the Mersey sound as it  was in the beginning, enjoy!
