Add three wheel covers and a headlight, and that's what I started with.

The previously rebuilt 1.0 and automatic transmission.

Gone is the valve eating three-cylinder and the power eating three-speed.

Here you can see the holes I had to drill for the 5-speed mount.

And here are the access holes so I can install nuts on the mount bolts.

Making the clutch cable holes are easy. They are already there on the inside layer of sheet metal, just use the holes as a guide to make identical holes in the outer layer.

Here is my $100 parts car.

Yeah, it's pretty screwed up, but it has plenty of good parts. Like an engine and those pretty tail lights.

Yes, it has a brush guard. I don't know why.

It's not much to look at, but the Swift's 1.3 runs good with no smoke. The extra 15 hp is nice too.

Those nice Swift headlights don't seem to work very well with a Metro hood. Since my Swift hood is pretty trashed, I sold the lights on eBay for $50.

The smaller and lighter Metro starter will work on the Swift engine.

My collection of Suzuki related books. Most were found on eBay.

My first Swift parts car (on the right) waiting to be hauled away.

My second Swift parts car. Too bad I took the engine out before the roof, it could have been fun like that.

The original Swift 13" wheels. They're only 4.5" wide, perfect for 145/80-13 snow tires. I'm painting them white.

1985-89 Toyota MR2 strut tower brace modified to fit a Metro. It will not clear the factory plastic air cleaner.

The 80s Nissan wheels I found on eBay for $25. They are 13" x 5". I have removed the "Nissan" stickers.

The 1.3L engine in the Metro.

1994 Metro with 1992 Swift tail lights and 1991 Swift rear bumper.
