I know I've been promising a pic ever since I started this site but my shooting has been very heavily restricted after my accident in 1999.

GOOD NEWS I went up to our local 100m fullbore range yesterday and tried out my .308. I'd not fired it since before the car crash, nearly two years ago. I had some pain at the range and on the way home but today I'm fine, well as good as I was before the outing. Quite bad really but no worse.

BAD NEWS My .22 is broke so I'm looking for a new one. Quite fancy a Ruger 10/22.

This is not intended as a political site but the following has to be said.

I have no problem with the legal ownership of firearms. I have big problems with the illegal ownership of firearms. I have MEGA problems with governments that can't tell the difference!

Charlotte Church - Nice voice but no Gold

I've been reading the Sunday Times again. I found three articles on the same page that I could link together. Two of the articles are linked in a very worrying way. One is about the Governments plans to ban the use of guns by those under the age of fourteen. This is on the grounds of safety!! Yes we all know shooting has an impeccable safety record. The other article was about Charlotte Church suing her ex-manager. It got me thinking. Young Charlotte has a very nice voice. She is quite a looker as well. But then I've never seen her dressed as a fourteen year old. The image of Charlotte portrayed by the industry and the media is of a mature and sexually desirable woman. I repeat; SHE IS FOURTEEN YEARS OLD!

Society allows the sexual exploitation of the good looks of a very talented fourteen year old girl but, if the Government has its way, will ban her from taking up a sport with a most enviable safety record because she might get hurt. A sport in which we won an Olympic Gold.
