I am a 30 year old man from Anderson, SC, and I had a Proximal Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass performed on September 13th, 2000 at the Medical University of South Carolina. I am interested in speaking to other people who have had the operation, or are thinking about it.

In the two years since I've had the operation, I am able to climb stairs and breathe at the same time, I am able to drive a car for the first time in 5 years, and have returned to college and made the Dean's List (a feat it doesn't look like I'll repeat this semester...ugh, upper level classes suck! *smile*)...it has been an amazing two years!
