2004 Member of the Year Since Gateway opened it's doors in 2001, we have tried to nominate members for various awards. The past several years, we have had Member of the Month to bring acknowledgement to a member that had showed dedication and participation in the group. This year we have added a new award. Each year in December, we will now nominate one member for Member of the Year. This award expresses how grateful Gateway To Friendship is that they have helped make our group The Right Place To Be. Our first nominated member joined Gateway in January 2002. She volunteered to assist the Welcoming Committee, Birthday and Anniversary Committees. She submitted entries for Page of the Month, Voted, and joined in on Game Time occasionally. She helped provide Gateway with background sets and stationary for prizes for our members. She joined Chat-Egroups and participates frequently. She supports all members through their good times and bad. Our 2004 Member of the Year has had to overcome many obstacles in the past year but she always found time to be there for anyone in need. She is a true asset to the group and I am truly proud to present the 2004 Member of the Year Award to Gateway's Member Laura.
