My Comments 2004
January
Jan.3,2004 Well Happy New Year! That was a funny episode today. Even the two highly unbelievable scenes were funny. I just finished typing out the rules and everything of my Madikeoh card game that I started typing out in begining of July 2003. It's really a combination of card games that you can play with Magic,Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh! and Digimon cards. I like playing it with Pokemon cards alone. I hope someone else enjoys it too. And if you like playing videogames, you can download games off of http://www.007arcadegames.com/ for free.
Jan.4,2004 Added a picture of Gary to my Gary Oak tribute page that I drew in paint.
Jan. 25,2004 Well, it's been a while. Ash disappointed me once again when he threw in his Treeko against Roxanne when it didn't know any grass type moves. I guess the idea never occurred to him to train his Treeko to learn a grass type move, since no one suggested it to him. Will he ever change? I loved Max on the side lines saying something like, "What was he thinking?" I also liked the episode that starred Max and the one after it with May, but they still have farfeched parts that I don't like. Lately Team Rocket has been acting a little too crazy for me, but I thought it was funny when they stripped off their lab coats and sunglasses as though that would take away Officer Jenny's suspision. I like how they are following the videogame with the Devon coorporation, Steven, and the man with his Wingull and boat. I wonder if May will create a new fad on Dewfort Island or something.

February
Feb. 7,2004Ha, first Ash won't leave Brawly alone, so he can have a gym battle, but he doesn't even plan ahead assuming it's going to be easy. Ash accusing Brawly was like calling the kettle black. He's so eager for the next match and just assumes that he will win. Either training just slips his mind, or he thought Pokemon battles were training, and it never occurs to to him how he can train his Pokemon outside of battle. Someone has always had to prompt him to train. Maybe Brawly's hint about nature was a wake up call for him and he'll actually start training outside of battle with some of his own ideas for a change. I'd like to see him do that. He's good at thinking on his feet during battles, so why can't he come up with ways to train? I love Brawly in the tv show, - much better than in the videogame -and he starts out with the same Pokemon! :)
Feb. 13,2004 I'm so happy. I got Jirachi yesterday because I preordered Pokemon Colosseum. The berry trees won't dry up again, yay! To me it was worth preordering Pokemon Colosseum just to get the bonus disk and have Jirachi fix part of the berry problem. You CAN'T transfer Jirachi to your Ruby or Sapphire Version with the Game Boy Player. You must have the cable that connects the Game Cube dirrectly to the GBA. After having only five in my party, I plugged a regular controller into slot one, placed my Sapphire version in my GBA, connected the Nintendo Game Cube Game Boy Advance Cable(NGCGBAC) to my GBA, plugged the NGCGBAC into slot two, and turned on the power to the Game Cube. I chose the Jirachi option thing, and followed the instructions. Then it told me that I needed to plug the NGCGBAC into slot four instead. I turned on the power of my GBA when it told me to. I'm so glad it worked. It took me a while to figure that out. Now, I have to wait for March 24, 2004 for Pokemon Coloseum. :)
Feb. 19,2004 Well those were two really good episodes last Saturday. I liked how they split up. I expecially liked the pairing of Max, Meowth, and Pikachu. I got excited when Meowth started to tell his story to Max because he had never told it to any character on the show before. Then, I was dissappointed that Max didn't listen Meowth's whole story. Pokemon Advanced is really different with Max and May there. I still like Max because he still reminds me of Gary, but sometimes I get dissappointed in him. May is an ok character; she's not my favorite, but perhaps she's someones fav. Everyones different and that's what makes the world go around. :)
Feb. 21,2004 Wow, Ash actually trained by himself for a change without anyone telling him to. It's the second time I've seen him do that. The first was when he trained his Cyndaquil a long time ago. It really wasn't my idea of training, but at least he's trying. I'd like to see him train his Treecko until it learns a grass attack or see him train more. I love that he did train even if it was for a little bit. Good for Ash! But what was he thinking putting his hand out to shake with a Corphish? That sure gave me a laugh. I would have never done that in a million years! That was a very unique episode. I thought that part with Team Rocket and the 'twirps' holes was funny.

March
March 6,2004 I wonder if we'll ever find out the purpose of the GS ball. I'm very exited after seeing Misty's picture in a comercial about the future of Pokemon!
March 26,2004 Well, I got Pokemon Collessium and it's a ton of fun, I've snaged 9 Shadow Pokemon so far. I have so much work to do now that I might not play it again until May, but I really wish I could play some more. Anyways, today's Pokemon, what was it called?, Turning Over a Nuzleaf? reminds me of the ep titled Turning Over a New Bayleaf. At first I thought it was going to be one of my favorite episodes or maybe even my favorite episode because the beginning was so awesome, but then it had a lowsey ending. I can tolarate a few completely outlandish unbelievable events that are funny, but I think they went a little too far this time. For once, Team Rocket all agreed on a smart plan- take what they have and leave. How a Crabhammer could send Ash flying all that way and exactly on target landing on the net is one thing. How he undid the knot in the air is another. He must have a ton of strength to hang on without falling when the net opened and somehow get to where Pikachu was. If he was so out of site how did he hear Brock, or even see the net below. It looked like Team Rocket was drifting away, not just upward. I could go on. Why did they have to ruin such an awsome episode? Perhaps I'm the only one who feels this way, but at least the beginning was good.

April
April 17,2004 I loved today's episode. I was so exicited that they put someone's secret base on the tv show. I just love how much of Ruby and Sapphire they're incorporating into the show. However, the dubbers made one big mistake. They confused Hidden Power with Secret Power. Secret Power is what is used to make a secret base, and Hidden Power differs in type and power depending on the pokemon. I wonder how many fans caught that.
April 24,2004 Yay, now Meowth has become the first Pokemon to be a Pokemon battle referee. Very good episode today!

May
May 4,2004 I have mixed feelings over last Saturday's Pokemon episode. I love Meowth and I love Sableye. Part of it was totally exciting for me and other parts were sad and depressing. There was nothing wrong with the episode like Beautifly and Dustox learning attacks too early in "Seeing is Believing," so it was a very good episode. Maybe I'll feel differently after seeing it a second time. Anyway, I'm now excited that Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are coming out for the Game Boy Advance this September. They will have the original Pokemon from Red, Yellow, and Blue, and will be able to trade with Pokemon Colosseum's Story Mode and Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.
May 8,2004 Finally! Yippie! Now, if only Ash would continue to train in new ways even if he defeats Brawly- that would be great! That would be a gaint step towards becoming a Pokemon Master. It finally looks like he's on his way. :)
May 13,2004 Pokemon Colosseum info: You don't need a time flute in order to purify pokemon. A time flute is to be used to skip the purification process of one pokemon (skip making the bar go from purple to white) and go straight to completing purification. Otherwise, purify Pokemon until it says 'undo the final lock' and push the 'A button' when facing in the stone in Agate village to purify the rest. -just something that confused me once, so I thought I'd share it everyone. :)
May 16,2004 I liked Swampert on tv, and Brawly is my favorite Hoenn Gym Leader so far.
May 23,2004 Jirachi Wish Maker comes out on DVD and Video June 1,2004. Check www.pokemon.com for details on Space Center Houston's Pokemon Space Party- the only place to see Jirachi Wish Maker on a big screen in the USA and for only a few days. I know there's a reward for snaging and purifying every Shadow Pokemon in Pokemon Colosseum and beating Mt. Battle in either Single or Double mode, but I'll let it be a surprise for those who would like to find out for themselves.
May 29,2004 Now, that's why I like Team Rocket! Go May! They may not do Pokemon Contests exactly the same as the videogame, but I loved watching Beautifly and Roselia. Ash must be in the Ruby Version of Pokemon since he's against Team Magma. Today's the first day of the Pokemon Space Party lasting only until June 6th. It's another chance to get a Jirachi for Ruby and Sapphire and I think it's cool that the mayor of Houston declared June Pokemon Space Party month. :)

June - Pokemon Space Party Month
June 9,2004 Pokemon Jirachi Wish Maker may be out on DVD and Video, but I wish to see it on the big screen again. I also want to see Pokemon 4ever on a big screen since it is the only Pokemon movie I didn't get to see on the big screen. I think it was ment for a big screen more than any of the other movies (or perhaps it ties with Jirachi Wish Maker, don't know). I'm just really impressed with graphics of both! For some reason I haven't realized until recently that every Mantine in the videogames has a Remoraid under one of its wings. I know Slowpoke and Shelder go together, but Mantine and Remoraid don't even touch sometimes. They go into the same pokeball, so is it possible that the creature with wings can't be called a Mantine unless it has a Remoraid? A Remoriad can be seen alone, so what about a Mantine? I know there's one episode of Pokemon that says something about them protecting each other's families, but it still seems too unbelievable that every Mantine includes a Remoraid.

July
July 4,2004 Happy July 4th! Sadly, Pokemon Space Party month is over, but now I'm looking forward to the wireless Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green. With all the reruns lately there hasn't been much to post about Pokemon-wise. I wonder if they'll have a pokemon game on the upcoming Nintendo DS. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Maybe I should make a list of Pokemon able to be snagged (caught) in Pokemon Colloseum...
July 28,2004 I haven't completed my snag list yet because I still haven't beaten Colosseum. Maybe I should just put up what I have so far, while I continue to debate on which Pokemon I will allow to go above level 50. It looks like the Kanto experience and story in Fire Red and Leaf Green won't be the same as Red or Blue, and of course it will be different from Yellow. A new RPG in the same region sounds great to me. They come out Sept 9 (unless that changes which is unlikely) and can be preordered in August.

August
Aug 16,2004 My snag list is up now, since I've gotten farther in the game. I finally found some useful info on Fire Red and Leaf Green and I really don't want to repeat what is on someone else's site, so I'll give you the link instead. If you're having a hard time trying to decide whether you want Fire Red or Leaf Green, click on 'Pokemon Differences.' Under 'Ledgendary Pokemon' you may want to read about Suicune, Entei, and Raikou, since the Pokemon you start with determines which one you can capture. September
Sept 6,2004Well, there’s been 4 new episodes of Pokemon since I’ve typed a comment. It’s very unusual to have an all new 1 hour season finale the Saturday before the season premere. I was so excited when I saw Misty in the title "A Different Kind of Misty," and then really missed her when she wasn’t there. The title is true; it’s definitely A Different Kind of Misty. I just loved how they’ve incorperated the videogame. The Trickmaster and Jigglypuff in one episode was just awesome, and they finally had Ash and company go though some unusual pathway to get to the gymleader! Ash still wasn’t required to get past any of the gymleader’s top students before getting to the gymleader, but I loved the mechanical Raikou and wish they would show a real Raikou in action. I liked Wattson too. Despite its weakness, Ash’s Taillow may be used to electric attacks, and electric attacks may be weaker on Pikachu and Treecko, but all of Taillow, Treecko, and Pikachu’s attacks would be weak against Wattson’s Magnemite and Magneton. Who knows what would have happened if Pikachu hadn’t been supercharged? I've added a picture to my Misty page.
Sept 11, 2004 Ash and friends must hold the world record for catching watermelons from the sky. I've never seen sphere-shaped watermelons before, but they probably grow in like that in other parts of the world and I bet are just as heavy. Fire Red and Leaf Green are finally here!

October
Oct 1, 2004 Yay! Misty's back! I hope she stays a long time. Mystery and intrigue?... wow, that's new; I like it. Sorry for not posting for a while. I've been very busy. I haven't had much of a chance to play my Leaf Green version. ...and now we're getting hightech, lol, a scrolling bar... this is perfect. Thankyou Bravenet! I'm going to start posting the newer comments on top like this.
Oct 2, 2004 Wow, Misty and Gyarados, who would have thought? (especially since she used to not like Gyarados) She must be a really awesome trainer to teach a water pokemon a fire attack. I wonder what a technical machine looks like in the Pokemon world. If it's laying on the ground is it just a circle? and if so, how do you give it to them. Do they eat and then automatically know the attack? It just makes me wonder how a Persian or Starmie comes to learn Thunderbolt in the TV show. We saw Pikachu practice Iron Tail, but what do you say to a Starmie or Persian (etc.)? "Try using a thunderbolt attack"?- just something to think about. I added a little to my Misty page. I know she wasn't with Togetic for long, but I figure if Togepi was hers, then so was Togetic.
Oct 23, 2004 Skitty!!!!!!!, Meowth, and Zangoose! Cats! Yay for Max; he's taking on Misty's role now when it comes to Brock. Who needs a lab when you have a Pokemon who knows Aromatherapy? and lol where did Ash get a Serviper Costume? I loved that episode. I'd like to see just Meowth and James do the motto again; that was fun. Skitty even helped out with the zigzag strategy by thinking of it first. Totodile just seemed to like to dance and Haunter liked humor, but for some reason I like Skitty's personality more. I suppose Skitty will be May's equivalent to Misty's Psyduck and Jessie's Wobbuffet, but when it comes out of its pokeball volunarily it does more than just stand there or block people's view. Skitty actually has a purpuse for coming out- to roam around, play, and use up it's energy. I agree with Ash; "What a cool Pokemon." I wonder if it was Skitty used charm to make Meowth fall in love, or if it was really love at first site. I didn't see any physical attacks so I don't think it was Cute Charm. Also, it's really nice to see them practicing. Knowing that May's Beautifly has improved dodging through practice before the episode of the competition, is something I like. :)

December
Dec 2, 2004 Sorry that it's been a little over a month since I've posted, but I'm sure I'll make up for it this month with a post each week and perhaps some more screenshots or something. So far, all of Ash's Pokemon from the Hoenn region have been strong. Taillow vs Pikachu, Treecko vs Pikachu, Corphish vs tent, and now Torkoal vs Steelix? I never thought I'd see Ash claim a Pokemon was his like that. hmmm fire, water, grass, normal/flying, electric... will the 6th be a bug type? or a fighting?
Dec 13, 2004 I really like May now. She really tries hard, and that Delcatty was cool! Her skitty was awsome, but I didn't think she would win. I can't believe how easily skitty learned Blizzard. It's understandable that it didn't always work since the move is not 100% accurate, but it was smart of May to try Blizzard.
Dec 22, 2004 I added a screenshot per character for the following characters in either my Meowth Tribute, Jessie and James page, or Other characters page: Meowth, Jessie, James, Ash, Brock, Prof Oak, Gary, Tracy, May, Max, and Ash's mom. Now every tribute page or character page has at least one image. Merry Christmas!
Dec 30, 2004 Well, 2004 is coming to a close. Looking back, I'd say it was a good year for Pokemon, and looking ahead there's a few known Pokemon products coming out in 2005: Pokemon Emerald version for the GBA, Pokemon Dash for the Nintendo DS, and Pokemon Destiny Deoxys on DVD and video on Feb 15 (unless that date changes, of course).
