Care of Your New Tattoo | ||||||||
1. Wash as normal with an antibacterial bar or liquid soap (Dial or Lever 2000). 2. Apply A healing lotion (such as Lubriderm or Curel) or Bacitration zinc ointment in a thin layer four to five times for the first three days then two to three times daily for the following week. 3. Do Not Pick At Your Tattoo!!!! Peeling is a normal part of healing process, but picking at dead skin or any scabs can result in permanent damage to your tattoo. 4. Avoid antibacterial ointments containing neomicin, especially Neosporin. Also avoid oldschool remedies such as Vasaline and Noxima. These have been proven to hurt your tattoo more than help it. |
