To all those whom it may concern:
On Saturday February 12, 2000, around 6:00 PM, while Bhaktine Robin Bazil Prabhu and I, Gauranga Prema Dasa, were on the sidewalk directly in front of the San Diego ISKCON Hare Krsna Temple, distributing copies of the following statement (containing explicit, detailed information, irrefutably exposing the several incidents of crime, corruption, deceit, fraud, misrepresentation, bannings, beatings and threats, repeatedly re-occurring throughout our ISKCON organization, which I presented to the Judge presiding in the recent court case, dated February 3, 2000, wherein the members of the San Diego ISKCON administration attempted to have a restraining order granted, restricting me from going anywhere within 100 yards of the San Diego ISKCON Hare Krsna Temple property), I was violently attacked by two male members of the congregation, Bhakta Nicholas Scengley Prabhu and a friend of his. They had me on the ground, while the largest one of the two, Bhakta Nicholas Prabhu, severely struck me several times on the back of the head with his fists. When they first approached me, Bhakta Nicholas Prabhhu shouted, "We don't want you here!" and before I had a chance to say anything in my defense, he began clobbering me with his fists while I tried to walk away. When they had me on the ground I repeatedly stated that I would leave, but Bhakta Nicholas Prabhu just kept beating on me anyways, and even managed to tear my newly mended prayer beads apart. Thirty of the beads are still missing. The day before, while I was reading this statement out loud behind the temple outside the kitchen, Bhakta Nicholas Prabhu sprayed me and the copy I was reading from, down with a hose, until I was drenched. These two "devotees" who attacked me are currently active members of the San Diego ISKCON Hare Krsna Temple Community, who regularly attend the temple functions and services, and also perform various different services for the community on a daily basis. Earlier that day, after informing Badrinarayana Prabhu (Robert Morrill), the Regional Director and GBC (ISKCON Governing Body Commission) representative of our temples in Southern California and various other locations, that he was speaking per-jalpa (topics, that are not related to God), and that he was standing in my way of the Deity, he said that he didn't have time for this, and then proceeded to push me off the sidewalk in front of the temple so forcefully that he managed to tear my prayer beads (japa-mala) completely apart. This is not the first time he has pushed me for practically no apparent reason. He even, once, grabbed me and tried to forcefully pull me away from the Harinama Sankirtana Party (The congregational glorification of God's holy names in public) in downtown San Diego, because he had previously instructed me to no longer attend the function (although, as you will notice from the quotes made by Srila Prabhupada provided in the following documentation, no one has any right to restrict anyone from attending any Sankirtana function), for sending him some e-mails he apparently didn't like, although I have no idea why, because he said that he never read them anyways. When that didn't work, he told the police that I had become violent, in order to stop me from participating in the Harinama Sankirtana Party. Of course, this was a bold-faced lie, and there were several witnesses including all the devotees who had joined the party that night, but somehow or other it worked. The following statement we distributed in front of the San Diego ISKCON Hare Krsna Temple on Saturday evening, also elaborately explains the reasons why I presented the afore mentioned accounts of nefarious activities, regularly occurring in ISKCON, to Judge Richard Strauss, during the restraining order court case, which includes the fact that whenever anyone tries to discuss, or, in any way, investigates what's going on in ISKCON, they are immediately exiled and excommunicated. I, therefore, humbly request, that you kindly examine the contents of the following statement containing several examples of all the existing evidence supporting my many allegations carefully, and please help us, in any way you can to curb the crime, neglect and abuse, which is presently, contaminating our otherwise fine organization. PS. A few days after that Saturday (February 12, 2000), when we were distributing the following document and I was attacked in front of the San Diego ISKCON Hare Krsna Temple (by those two members of the movement I wrote about above), Bhaktine Robin Prabhu visited the temple, to attend one of the nightly dinner programs but unfortunately however, before the dinner was served out, she was informed by Sundara Prabhu (Randy Whalen), the San Diego ISKCON Hare Krsna Temple Commander, that he had been instructed to ask her to leave the facility. He also provided absolutely no explanation, whatsoever, for this obviously, unwarranted request.
