Extremism of any kind is an abnormality which arises when a group of people adopt a philosophy, with the purpose of adopting a false image, a reflection of their own misery and misdoings, and when this image starts collapsing, defend it with their life, so that their life doesn't loose its meanings. Philosophy in this case is religion, 'false image' is the image of personified 'Gods', on whom they want to put blames for all that is wrong with their life.
