Gavitygirl's WW Page

Each New Years resolution was the same.  I wanted to loose weight.  And every year I fail.  Only to gain more each year.  But something happened in January of 2005.  My sister had been on Weight Watchers for a while and was looking svelte.  My DH Jim was talking to her about how it works.  There were points...blah blah blah.  She gave us her Getting Started book and a Points Slider.  A few days later I looked at the Weight Watcher's web site and joined in a heartbeat.  This was a program that finally "clicked" with both Jim and myself.  I've had my ups and downs, but I have been "on program" 100%.  Who knew that loosing weight would really work?  And be so easy?

This page is dedicated to everyone on the Weight Watcher's 100+ message board.  There I find help, strength, inspiration and entertainment.  The folks there are the BEST!  Hello everyone!  Now you can SEEEEEEEEE me too!

I struggled to find pictures of me.  I have been hiding from cameras for YEARS.  I regret it so much that I didn't take a before picture when I started and some progress pictures along the way.  I feel like I have nothing to show you folks for the 50+ lbs that I have lost.  But this is what I have come up with.

The picture on the left was taken in St. Louis, Missouri in May 2004 on one of my famous Route 66 road trips.  I was probably 240ish in the picture.  I was wearing size 22/24 stretchy capri pants.  Yes, my foot is in the Mississippi River.  No, I didn't "catch anything" like the lady walking by said I would!

The picture on the right was recently taken in July of 2005 when I was 192 lbs.  I was wearing size 16 slacks!
