Here i present you 2 great Battletch PC games
A great strategy game , which , you can imagine , is based on the Battletech universe.Actually it's not a real strategy game , but more a tactical combat game.There is no base-building and stupid more-and-more tank-buying.So , don't fear it is not C&C's thousandth clone. Although it's an old game (it was released in summer '98) it is still a much played game on the multiplayer services like the MS Gaming zone and Mplayer.One of the reasons for that is of course ,the great work of Fasa interactive , who programmed a great game , but also because of the MC online leagues that exist.As i wrote in the home, i'm in Starlance(SL) the first and biggest Mechcommander(MC) league.But i know of 3 other international MC leagues : theres TFS , The Flaming Sword League , SC , Steel Command League , and WH , Warrior's Hall .Here a screenshot of the MC lobby in mplayer where the most SL battles are fought:
This is still not at prime time , as i'm living in Germany ,so i'm usually in bed when the lobby is really full.You see all these short cuts? There are about 80 units in SL , most of them have 20 and more members.However , the MC lobby will be not that full in the future , as MC gold has been released in September , it's an expansion pack with new single player campaign ,mechs and weapons.So most of the SL players will relocate to the MCG lobby.
Ok , but more now about MC itself , the story is set in the year 3059 , the Star League Defense Forces (SLDF) are launching an attck on the Smoke Jaguar Occupation Zone.At the same time a force group is on its way to attck Huntress , the capital planet of SJ . Target of these operations is to destroy all millitary forces and facilities of Clan Smoke Jaguar , which would be effectively the end of the clan.
The player's task is to lead a company in the invasion of the planet Port Arthur. As the planet should be light defended , there's only 1 Battailon of the 1st Davion Guards assigned to carry through this task.This wouldn't be exciting , so they find the planet defended by a whole cluster , while their order is to prepare the planet for liberation by the rest of the 1st Davion Guards.

MW3 is also set during the attack of the SLDF on Clan Smoke Jaguar, but this time the battles are fought deep in Clan Territory. The player's task is to destroy Smoke Jaguar forces .Task force group Serpent destroyed all Millitary forces and facilities of the Smoke Jaguars on their capital planet , Huntress , but some withdrew and now established a base on the planet Tranquil.The player is a Lieutenant of the Eridani Light Horses .
If you know Mechwarrior 2 /Mercenaries , you will not have any problems to get an impression of MW3 , because the keyboard commands are nearly the same.But it became better , much better!

This game is a pure action game , you steer the mechs , which you would command in MC.In the intro , which are the screen shots above are taken from , you can get an impression of what awaites you in the game
