Yeah, we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later, and this week it did. nintendo have annouced that the Gamecube will be delayed for Japan and Europe.
The japanise release date has moved from the beginning of July to sometime in September. While the European release has change from October and November time to Spring 2002. Really bad news for us in the UK then.
The Spring 2001 is terrible news for European, think how many unit Nintendo will miss out on selling because the launch is after the Christmas buzz. I'm quite sure the public would rather recieve a PS2 that wait another 3 month to get the marginly better ( lets face it, the PS2 it about the same as thye Gamecube) Gamecube.
Of course there is a good side to this delay. It does give Nintendo the chance to brush up on some their titles.
