thom plays guitar in the band, and is also the lead singer. He has one eye partially closed because of a problem he had when he was a child. it used to be fully closed until they did numorous surgerys on it and opened it half way, sadly though during the last surgary, when he was five, the damaged his eye, and he can't see right anymore. His voice unlike his guitar playing, is almost choirboy like in nature, Though he can sound like a banshee.
Some people sense a depressed air around thom, but he insists that he isn't all that depressed. And though some of his songs may indicate suicidal tendancys, the band itself is almost counter coulture in nature. Instead of trashing hotel rooms they're highly more likely to tidy up. Thom once yelled at the crowd to stop moshing in the front row, he even threatened to leave the concert. of course the quited down after that. Thom york is one of the most highly prized song writers and musical composers of our day. even though the common populace doesn't yet know. |
