DENTOKAN INDONESIA A Sub-Division of the Goshinbudo Indonesia Club

Since 2004, The Sekai Dentokan Renmei has a branch in Indonesia under Ben Haryo sensei, a student of Roy Hobbs sensei. Pictured above are some members of Dentokan Indonesia with Andy Roosen sensei, a shihan (master instructor) of the Dentokan.

The Dentokan Indonesia practices Dentokan Aiki Jujutsu, which was derived from Hakko-ryu and Daito-ryu. Hobbs sensei studied with Hakko-ryu founder Okuyama sensei and his senior student Irie Yasuhiro sensei. Hakko-ryu is a form of Jujutsu derived from the famous Daito-ryu Aiki Jujutsu of Takeda Sokaku traditiojn. Hobbs sensei studied this form of Jujutsu in Japan and received his Shihan Menkyo (teaching certificate) from Okuyama sensei in the 1980s and his Menkyo Kaiden (certificate of complete mastery) from Irie Yasuhiro sensei in the 1990s.
