Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. was founded
on the campus of Howard University on January 9, 1914. Three young visionaries
(Honorable Brothers: A. Langston Taylor, Charles I. Brown and Leonard F.
Morse) recognized the need for a fraternity that accepted men on the basis
of their personal character, rather than that of their social status. With 13
brave men willing and ready to start upon the journey that would last the rest
of their lives, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity,
Inc. began one of the greatest traditions that has prospered unto this
day. In the memory of these prestigious men, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
continues to search for men who "will" uphold the fraternity's most
precious principles: Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.
To this day, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. is one of the largest fraternities
in the world, with at least one chapter in every of the 50 States of America.
Phi Beta Sigma has also branched its brotherhood into the continents of Africa
and Australia.
Not only does Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
take great pride in brotherhood, but also in family. The beautiful ladies of
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. makes
this special "Blue and White" team the only "True Brother and
Sister" Black Greek Fraternity and Sorority. "Constitutionally"
bound these lovely ladies exemplifies the true meaning of Finer Womanhood, Sisterly
Love, Scholarship, and Service.
