El Camino Academy
Bogota', Colombia  April 2001
One afternoon we went with several of the elementary students to a large facility down the road.  Some students took swimming lessons, others went to a large weight room and exercise facility.

Additionally there was a large picnic area with several kiddie rides and a lot more that we didn't get a chance to see there.  It was a rather amazing place.

The swimming pool where the students took swimming lessons. Another view of the pool facility
These pictures show the high school courtyard.  The junior high and high school classrooms and lockers are all around this yard, as is their lockers and some storage shelves that they use.  Many of them will also study or eat their lunch at the tables that you see.
The high school court yard.  Those stumps are used as tables and chairs. The director talking to a student outside of her office, which overlooks the courtyard.
Another view of the high school yard and walkway.  Yes the students do actually leave their packs there on teh walkway during class.   Some of the elementary girls playing a game outside the main entrance to the school.
What's the most popular game to play?  You have to ask?

Soccer (Futbal)!!  Of course.

These where taken before school when kids from all grade levels were out there playing together.

(BTW, NBA basketball is also popular)
