--After the Datus were settled, Datu Puti proclaimed that he would sail back to Borneo. Because he was the only one powerful enough to challenge the tyrant Makatunaw, everyone agreed. Datu Sumakwel was appointed the new leader and thus making the culture prosper. Datu Puti, his wife and servants set sail for Borneo and was thence never heard from again.
