LONGWAVE RADIO LISTENING FORUM

DXers, Hams, hobbyists, It would be great to drop us a log or two or more and ,also bookmarks, questions, etc. Here on the left is Beacon MRV 404.0- Merville (Calonne). Areo NDB in North of France. Total view aerial and big wheel. Due to the capacitive hat constuction, a good aerial gain: a strong signal from a large distance. Also you can show you pictures and also display your mp3 sound bites to the group. Have fun. We are glad to have you here cause of showing your interests in the radio hobby below 500 kHz.

We cover all ranges from 0 Hz to 530 kHz. AM radio below 530 kHz is really part of the longwave band. So when you go down below 520 kHz if you can make it down that low on the dial you can listen to beacons and other ulities from far, and the other side of the world. How you can tell what the propagation is going to be like is listen to 530 kHz and 540 kHz for some foreign broadcasts. If you can pick up something that is distant then you have great chances of receiving also of NDB's on your radio.
