Fanny Evans Burgess

Really not sure what the name of this cemetery is because very little is known about it.  Listed below is the story that we received from Ruth & Twila Hesse while transcribing this cemetery.

"Myrtle Burgess recalls her mother, Fanny Evans Burgess, telling her that Fanny's little sister was buried here.  Susie Bergeson, also a granddaughter of John Evans, tells us the little girl was 6 or 7 yrs old.  Called Emma and died of Flux.  Slaves & Soldiers could have been buried here."

Carter Beverly owned this farm of almost 2,000 acres and left from here.  The farm was sold for taxes ($7.00) to a Fisher from Hardy County.  The cemetery is located in a meadow covered with very tall grass and this part is now owned by Roscoe Cook heirs.
