John Burgess According to Ruth & Twila Hesse: This cemetery is what I will call the John "Jack" Burgess cemetery .  It is located about 1/2 mile from Rt 42 on the Jordan Run Road. Turn to the right just before the Weimer farm.  Go 1/4 mile on the old Sampson Smith Farm(Hesse Property). This is a very old cemetery.  According to the late Woodrow Burgess his great-grandfather "Jack" Burgess was buried in this cemetery.  There are only a few field stones left.  Some of the graves may be those of slaves.  The cemetery is not fenced and ground hogs have torn up the ground. _______________________________________________________________________
