Whittaker, Jane A. died May 10, 1898 age 25 years. (Other records have her born July 12, 1867, died May 10, 1893. I believe this date of 1893 is more correct than what we saw on the monument. The 8 may have been a 3. Her son Walter told me that he was a baby and he was born in 1892. She caught her dress on fire around the kettle of water she was heating outside to do laundry. She was the wife of Tom Whittaker and the daughter of Lewis and Martha Jane (Rinker) Rotruck.
