Will of Sallie Mumbert


I, Sallie Mumbert of the County of Grant and Estate of West Virginia, make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills made by me, and direct the payment of my just debts.

I give, devise and bequeath to my son A. J. Mumbert twenty acres of land situated adjoining the lands of Jesse Rotruck, being the portion formerly o3wned by Ailey O’Bryan, and I also give and bequeath to A. J. Mumbert one Featherbed.

I give, devise, and bequeath to Ann Shirk of the county of Grant and state of West Virginia, all other lands owned by me, except the portion above bequeathed to A. J. Mumbert, each to share equal with the other.

I also give, devise, and bequeath, to Ann Shirk and Hannah Mullin all other house property not heretofore disposed of, each to share equal with the other, said property to be divided between them peaceably and without quarrel.

I appoint b. J. Baker of the town of Petersburg Grant County, WV, my executor of this my will.

This day the Last will and Testament of Sallie Mumbert, late of Grant County, deceased, was dully proved, by the oaths of James L. Marshall and W. L. Webb, the subscribing witnesses thereto, and was thereupon ordered to be recorded according to law.
