Solomon George Deed Book 8 page 427 This deed made this 11th day of April in the year of our Lord 1887, between Jeremiah George and Mary R. George, his wife of the district of Grant and County of Grant and state of West Virginia of the first part and Solomon George of the district, county and state of aforesaid of the second part. Witnessed, that for an in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars the receipt of which is herein acknowledged, the said Jeremiah George doth grant with special warranty unto the said Solomon George a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the district, county and state aforesaid, adjoining the lands of Thomas S George and others, and is known as the “Moon Place”, and is bounded as follows, beginning at a sugar, walnut and Locust near the top of a hill thence N 32-1/2 W 48 poles to a black oak, thence N 44 E 11 poles to a stake in the original line then with its line N 27 W 128 poles to three hickories and a black oak, on a ridge also a corner to the lands of Sarah Rinker and James Likin; thence S 24 W 49 poles to two chestnut oaks by a road S 5 E 66 poles to two chestnut oaks formally two Spanish oaks, leaving said line S 5-1/2 E 10 poles to a white Oak S E 50 poles to a chestnut oak, S 43 W 40 poles to a white oak S 47 E 90 poles to a white oak N 38 E 40 poles to a white oak N 48 W 17 poles to a red oak and Walnut, N 9 W 14 poles to the beginning containing 55 acres more or less Witness the following signatures Jeremiah George Mary R.
