My News I saw The Used/Finch/The Movielife/My Chemical Romance on Saturday, Feb 8th. Here's my review, in order of performance: My Chemical Romance: they ROCKED! i love this band. if you don't know them, visit their website and download some stuff! they're amazing! very very good live as well. they're coming back in april, so i'll be seeing them again. The Movielife: eh, well, i really like them, but i was disappointed with their performance. The Used: ohh yeah baby! this was the 2nd time i've seen them, and they were awesome. they really work with the crowd, and they sound wonderful live. they coming back (with MCR) in april, so i'll definitely be there. Finch: whoa. i really love this band, but they blew big time at this show. i think their singer was on something heavy. he sounded terrible. we left midway through their set. ...this is totally unrelated, but i just had to mention it. i went to see the Casualties open for Avail on Jan 11th. man they are INTENSE live. (i didn't stay for Avail, frankly because i don't like them). but man o man. the casualties seriously have an amazing stage presence & are even better live than they are on recordings. i even caught one of meggers' drumsticks, but after i left i reached into my bag to get it & realized it was gone. o well. it was nice having it for a lil while anyway...i STRONGLY suggest you go see them if they come to your area. as long as you don't mind being in a room full of leatherclad-mohawked-street-punks...& those who THINK they're street punks. i just gotta say guys, it's fuckin HOT in there. take off the friggin leather jackets. you're not cool when you're sweating a hundred times worse than everyone else just cuz you wanna look *badass*... |
| Site News -I'm still working on some stuff & trying to make the site a little better, but i'm not all that great with HTML & codes n stuff, so don't expect a very ornate site. -This site is dedicated to my favorite band, Good Charlotte [. duh .] -I want to give credit where credit is due, so if I've used something that belongs to you please tell me & I'll give you credit (or take it down if you don't want it up). -I want to add a wallpaper section so if you have anything that you would like to contribute, please e-mail it to me (see bottom). -I'm still waiting to get my Lupos pics scanned so I can get em up here! My Blurb 1.15.03...7:35pm i just wanna let people know, i'm a totally legit GC fan. i didn't get into them after i saw them on sucky ass MTV. a friend of mine, who is always discovering semi-unknown bands on the web & such, found out about them & got sorta into them. she burned a cd & had me listen to it. the first GC song i ever heard was "Superman Can't Walk", & i BELIEVE that was back in 1999. i instantly fell in love with them & went out to buy their cd that same day. since then i've developed into a hardcore fan, doing everything i can to keep up-to-date with them & being as involved as i can in the GC fan community. i'm not a teenybopper-mtv fan. i fell in love with their music before i even saw what they looked like, so no one could say that i only like them for their good looks (which many people do, & it's sickening. MUSIC, people.), anyhoo, i just wanted to get all that out into the open. now you know that i'm for real here.
