Your Basic Doom Editor Click screen shot to enlarge
Yes, another editor for WAD files (the files used by games such as DOOM, DOOM ][, and Heretic). I've just always been fascinated with the structure of WAD files, and thought I'd try my hand at making a user-friendly editor that gives me all the options I want. Plus, it's a great opportunity to develop my user interface philosophy.

This application is still in design phase, if anyone is interested.

Hi-Tech Icons Click here to enlarge.
A collection of icons I designed based on a set of folder icons I downloaded from the now extinct site IconCity. JULY 29, 1999: I have edited a few of the icons which weren't exactly 256-color, although only the most discerning eye would probably notice.

This screen shot contains just 30 of the 85 icons I have zipped into this collection.

The majority of the icons are document types, which can be easily changed in Explorer's View|Folder Options... menu, then at the File Types tab.

Dance of Death Alphabet Click here to enlarge.
The theme of Death as the great equalizer, leveling all social classes and ranks, was a popular one in medieval Europe. The 'Danse Macabre,' as it was known, was reproduced time and again in Church frescoes and, later, in books. This file is a zipped archive of twenty-four (Latin alphabet without J or U) scanned images of the Dance of Death Alphabet, designed by Hans Holbein the Younger, and engraved on wood by Hans Lützelburger, Basle, 1526.
