Providing direct contract services to non-profit organizations in fundraising, community research, public relations, and community development. Clients and employment included a transitional housing program for the homeless, a religion-based primary and secondary school, and recreational programs for the blind and for special needs children.

Assistant Professor of Political Science, North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC (1988-2000)
Teaching responsibilities include American government, political science research methods ("Scope, Method and Writing"), public opinion and propaganda, junior thesis, problems of contemporary government, US. foreign policy, politics of developing nations, workshop in international affairs, municipal government, political parties and interest groups and environmental politics.  Interdepartmental team teaching "world societies" with History Department. Day and evening classes, regular session and summer session classes, and classes offered within the Political Science, Critical Foundations, and Environmental Sciences Programs.  Received teaching merit awards in 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98.

Assistant Professor of Social Science and Human Services Administration, Springfield College, Springfield, MA (1984-88)
Teaching responsibilities included courses in human services administration, fundraising and proposal writing, community development process, political development, urbanology, community research, comparative government, constitutional law, human services issues, Western civilization, interdisciplinary social science and study skills.  Courses were offered at both the undergraduate and graduate level.  Additional duty as
Director, Human Services Summer Master's Degree Program.

Director of Alumni Affairs, Millersville University of Pennsylvania, Millersville, PA (1978-84), also served as Executive Secretary, Millersville University General Alumni Association, Inc. (1978-83)
Responsibilities included fundraising (direct mail, phone-a-thon, special events, face-to-face solicitation), volunteer management and training, alumni special events (class and area club events, Homecoming, Alumni Day), publications (writing, editing, and publishing a quarterly magazine and all leaflets and brochures), developing area clubs, and data base management for a file of 27,000 alumni.  Supervised one staff person, six student workers and numerous volunteers.  Dollar donations doubled in three years.  Served as Executive Secretary under the Alumni Association Board.  Responsibilities were modified in 1983 with university reorganization. Additional duties included membership on numerous university special events planning committees, including Pittsburgh Symphony Week in Residency, Homecoming Weekend, Madrigal Feaste, others.
