Only in a world of animation , can simple toys go on an adventure to rescue their cowboy leader , rarely in the animation world , do the sequels come in higher quality than the original. Welcome to Toy Story 2.

And in this world of animation , the sequel does come higher in quality than the original. In Hollywood today , sequels are known for being disapointments , such as Jurassic Park 2 and I Still Know what You did Last Summer, but Toy Story 2 is no disapointment whatsoever.

For all of you nervous fans of Toy Story 1 , don't worry , all of the character's are back and at their best , such as Buzz Lightyear , Woody , and Mr. Potato Head. And all of the voices of Toy Story 1 are back , including Tom Hanks , Tim Allen , Don Rickles , Wallace Shawn , Jim Varney , and John Ratzenberger. Toy Story 2 also features new voices of Joan Cusack , Wayne Knight , and Kelsey Grammar.

When Pixar and Disney made Toy Story 1 , they had something great, which made over 100 million dollars in the box-office ( in the US ) , and had a reputation for being one of the best animations ever created. So , the sequel for this film has high expectations to make. It seems like Pixar worked harder than they did on the first one , knowing that the extra effort could mean a big difference. Which it did , as Toy Story 2 made over 80 million dollars in it's opening week , and has a great reputation already , as almost every critic gave it their highest rating. Pixar and Disney accomplished their goal.

The reason we like Toy Story 2 so much , is because it makes us feel secure , that there is a whole new world with intelligent toys that live calm , peaceful lives , that can go around having just as much fun as we do.

Toy Story 2 starts back out in the bedroom of the caring toy lover and collector , Andy.  And Woody , who was thought to be only a normal toy for the second film , is Andy's favorite toy again and is the leader of the Toy box once again , and at his side is his new best friend Buzz Lightyear. And his followers once again , the T-Rex , Mr. Potato Head , The Piggy Bank , and The Green Army men. Woody , who was jealous of Buzz in the original is now his friend and has no hard feelings towards him anymore. Buzz feels the same way about Woody as they live together again. Things are back to normal just as they started in the first movie.

In Toy Story 2 , the toys aren't worried about a toy abuser next door , who tortures , burns , and reconstructs his toys , what Woody is worried about is becoming a toy who gets thrown on the shelf , becouse of a tear in his cowboy jacket. And what has the other toys worried is much more serious...A Yard Sale. Andy's mom accidently puts Woody on the table for the toys for sale. Where an evil toy collector who knows Woody isn't for sale , takes him to complete his collection of the old Woody TV series. That is the kind of thing that makes this movie fascinating. While we are afraid of death and destruction , these toys fear the dreaded yard sale the most.

Anyway , as i mentioned earlier , Woody finds out that he was the star of an old TV puppet show. At Al's ( the nasty toy collector ) house , he see's early episodes of himself on video along with his co-stars cowgirl Jessie , Stinky Pete the prospector , and his horse , Bullseye.

His co-stars have been waiting in boxes for a long time for Woody to arrive , so it could complete the cast. Now Al is all set to ship them to Japan for an exhibit at a museum.

Now that Woody's friends have arrived after a memorable adventure through the city and Al's Toy Barn , Woody must decide whether he wants to stay with his cast , so they don't get thrown in to boxes for another long period , or whether he wants to go home , where he risks getting thrown on to the shelf and not being used again.

Kids will absolutely adore Toy Story 2 , with it's perils of Buzz and his gang , to find the long, lost Woody and then rescue him. Adult's will be able to enjoy the humor throughout , but don't get me wrong on this , it has absoulutely no crude humor , It just has some humor that adults will also appreciate. Toy Story is made for kids and has no objectionable material to go along with it's "G" rating.

If you enjoyed the first one , you'll love the second one. If you didn't like the first one , you'll still love the second one. All movie buff's need to see this film as soon as possible. Toy Story gets my two thumbs held high up and my **** stars or A- grade.
