Phoenix Guide Dog Raisers have participated in
a number of events over the years. Raisers and puppies have attended
sporting events, visited museums, gone to work, go to school, participated
in presentations and fundraising activities, and appeared on TV and radio.
Fountain Hills Arts and Crafts Festival, March 2001 This event was an opportunity for raisers and their puppies to speak to the general public about our roles and recruit new raisers for Phoenix Guide Dog Raisers, Inc. PETsMART Bring Your Child To Work... Contacted by Petsmart to participate in this event, this was a wonderful means to recruit potential raisers and from those who work for the pet industry. Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar This restaurant, located at 44th Street and Thomas, and managed by Matt Harding graciously handled approximately 16 guide dog puppies and a their families. We were treated exceptionally well by the entire staff and we would like to commend everyone at Applebee's for their outstanding service to the raisers AND the puppies. |
