My markets

I can take a train from my road to London Bridge. Borough Market is on the other side of the road from London Bridge station. There has been a market there for centuries, but this one started a few years ago as Borough Farmers' Market. It's very big and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week. There is a good farmers' market near Victoria station and Sloane Square. It is smaller and open every Saturday.

In south London there is Wallington farmers' market. There is one in New Addington, but I didn't think much of it. Neither did I think much of the one at Merton Abbey Mills.

I like the French Market on sometimes in North End in Croydon. I like Surrey Street fruit and vegetable market in Croydon.

On Sundays I have a few times gone to Columbia Road flower market and Brick Lane market in the morning, and then Old Spitalfields covered market in the afternoon. I have been to Petticoat Lane (Middlesex Street), but not in recent years. I have also been to Camden Lock market.

Sometimes I get the 75 bus to Lewisham, look around the street market there, and then walk to Greenwich (through Blackheath and Greenwich Park) and the markets there.

One day I may go to Marylebone farmers' market on Sundays.
